Wood & Steel
Description:
While the museum was reorganized cars, 409’s pole snagged the overhead supporting wire. The crew on the roof is working to secure the loose pole, as 308 and 309 are being put away after revenue seqvice. This incident allowed this unique shot to be possible. Both the CA&E 300s and the Met L car are wood bodied with steel under frames while the 409 is steel constuuction however all these cars have wood and canvas roofs.
